Story
The Sumner County History Hunt is nearing the end of its run, giving residents and visitors one more chance to explore local historic sites in a hands-on way.
Participants are invited to visit different historic locations around Sumner County, check in, answer questions, and take photos to earn points. The activity was designed as a countywide scavenger hunt, encouraging people to experience the places, stories, and communities that shaped Sumner County over time.
The History Hunt also includes prize opportunities, including major travel and gift-card prizes. Winners are expected to be announced as part of the July 8 Let Freedom Ring celebration.
For families, students, history lovers, and anyone looking for a reason to visit a few more local landmarks, the final days of the History Hunt offer a fun way to connect with Sumner County’s America 250 story before the larger July celebrations begin.
